surgery

Okay, I had the surgery on my foot last Tuesday. In an attempt to be kind, the doc did the surgery going from the top instead of the bottom and while I thank him for the thought I really don't see how it's going to make that much of a difference, just a few days less on crutches. I may not be going to school because of it either, well not the surgery (though i can't go to school until next wednesday anyway). I get to have a pick-line (sp?) put in and since it stays there until I'm done with the antibiotics and junk I might not be able to go to school because of school rules and junk. I don't really know the details, and I don't know for sure or not because I didn't even know about it until my mom told me. Yeah well, I still have my foot so that's all that matters I guess. yeah, well...I'm going...have stuff to do (yep yep, stuff to do *shifty eyes*)

okay, quick update

Just for a quick update, I almost didn't go to last competition, but I ended up going anyway and we made last place, ninth out of nine, joy oh joy. Anyway I have the biopsy on my foot on Tuesday and if that goes all well then I'll be on crutches for a while and I absolutely abhor crutches. Go me, yeah this is a quick update, but that's because I'm running behind a little, but decided that taking a few minutes to do this wouldn't hurt. You know, that's just me, always the procrastinator.

I was right

okay, I was right, my streak of injuries weren't over. I ended up banging up my right knee pretty bad while running the floor. There was blood, it was swollen, and now is a nice large bruise that hurts like no gods business.

I went to my first Winter Guard competition last Sat. Honestly, I don't think I did so bad, but we got 10th place...out of 12...yeah, we didn't do so hot as a team. One of the guys (the only guy on the team, actually) was a full two beats ahead of everyone else for his 45 and I had to fake mine because I suck at 45s. My knee was numb while we were preforming, I had hurt it that morning, so I was pretty okay on the pain factor. If I'm not mistaken, though, we had points take off because of equipment or something like that.

The vendors at the competition were pretty cool too. There was one that was selling t-shirts and shorts, I got a t-shirt that says "its not a drop...its a floor catch" and a pair of short that said "GUARD THIS" on the butt, both black. At another stand there was a lady who was making custom made flag bags, I was sooo tempted to get one, but I ended up not because I didn't really have a use for it at the moment...besides to carry my flags in of course, though I only have two flags at the moment. There was also this one place that was selling ties, buttons and all sorts of jewelry. Those are the only ones that I actually stopped at to look, or stopped at because a friend wanted to or something.

Anyway, all in all Guard is going fairly good, hopefully I'll make it the rest of the season without too many more injuries on my part.

Quote of the Day:
"No matter how high the pain is in result of what you're dreams are, stand back up and try again...unless you're leg is broken then ask for some help." ~Unknown

Ow

It seems that the past few weeks have not been the best times in my life.

Somehow I managed to mess up my foot - we think I ripped some scar tissue - and it keeps swelling up and it really hurts. Also during practice I managed to sprain, or something, my right wrist and throw out my right shoulder. So now it hurts to write and to lift my arm up. Sadly I don't think that my streak of injuries are going to slow down any time soon, doubles hurt and my 45s are even worse. Woe is me

Quote of the Day:
"88 is the perfect grade, it means that you're not to smart and you're not dumb either. It also is two infinity signs turned on their sides." ~RJ

Fellow Bob

Today was kinda fun for once even though I'm currently at my dad's and normally it's so boring I feel like my hair is just going to fall out.

One of my old friends contacted me (from outer space lol) and asked if we could get together. I hadn't talked to her in almost a year, not counting the three messages we left on our gaia accounts. I agreed, of course, and ended up going with her to get her hair cut. After her hair cut we just hung out at her house. For a while it was actually kind of awkward, I mean I hadn't seen her or even talked to her for nearly a year after all, but it soon went back to like when I still lived over here. We were laughing, she was beating me at card games while I was beating her at logic and word games, and we were singing to the radio and laughing at the advertisements like we hadn't even been apart for a few days.

I was amazed at how relaxed we were after only a few minutes. Sure there were some things that I wasn't quite up-to-date on, but there were some things that she wasn't up-to-date on either. Like the fact that I'm doing flag now, and the fact that she has a boyfriend now and has no fashion sense at all, or at least she doesn't when skating. Honestly, I hadn't thought that it would be so easy just to fall back into our old ways, for the most part, and just move on with life. Hm, guess you learn something new.

Quote of the Day:
"A true friend is someone who wont judge you after time apart" ~unknown

Fact of the Day:
"Doing a double axle isn't easy when you have long hair that is loose. ~BOB #2

clowns

This is kinda random, but hey what do you expect.

The other day some of my friends and I got talking,it was during lunch so our conversation was kinda odd. Normally we'll have a regular conversation then just suddenly start laughing because something sounded wrong, or one of the guys starts laughing and spits something out over the table and gets everyone laughing at them. On this obviously abnormal day we were actually having a decent conversation for once...or at least a semi-normal one for high-school students. We were talking about who was going out with who and how long we thought they were going to last...well the guys were talking about which girl they thought was more hot, but that's beside the point. Anyway, some how our conversation turned to what we feared.

The Flying Blue Enchilada said that she feared this one kind of spider, I don't really remember.
Werewolf (don't ask, I haven't yet) said that she was afraid of running out of books because then what would she read. Go figure she'd fear that seeing as she almost always has her nose in some book or is talking about one.
When it came to me I honestly had to stop and think. A lot of things disgust me, but I'm not afraid of them. I'd never really thought about what I was afraid of, besides IT. Well, everyone was waiting for my answer and since I couldn't figure out anything else I was afriad of, though I'm sure that I'm afraid of something else but just can't remember what it is, I went ahead and told them. I'm afraid of clowns.

You read right, clowns. I'm absolutely terrified of clowns. Whenever I see one I automatically start walking the other way or put at least five or ten people between it and me. Sure, it's a silly fear, but it's still one and I don't think I'm getting over it any time soon. I mean, honestly, they're going to take over the world or something!

Quote of the Day:
"Don't automatically agree with who ever you look up to says. They'd want you to have a mind of your own, and if they don't then they obviously aren't someone you should be looking up to." ~Unknown

Fact of the Day:
"99.99% of the world's population have their insides in the correct place, and the other .01% has them in odd places. Like the boy who's heart was on the right side of his chest, or the people who you can see the artery that follows their spines pulse even though they aren't anorexic."

(This public message has come to you from "The one, the only...BOB!")

(insert catchy sentence/phrase here)

Like anything in my life, this journal has been untouched for a while. (I started band and my tuba goes untouched, I start flag and the flag doesn't get spun for a while extra...)

While I was missing (really, I went missing O.O )not to many things happened. Well, that is if you don't count the fact that my english teacher is being mean to me, I might not be able to go to my first competition and my tuba still hasn't come back from the shop. Really, there is absolutely nothing to complain about now 'n days.

My writing (for those who do not already know, I write A LOT and practically none stop, mostly fiction and fan-fictions) has slowly come to the point in where I really can't figure out what to write, I believe people call these "Writer's Blocks" but I call them brain burps. Anyway (Towards France!) I really need a life...yes, I am willing to admit that selling my life on eBay was a bad idea.

Can't think of anything that I really just wanted to say, really I just wanted to let anyone who even reads this know that I'm still alive and kicking much to many peoples' disappointment.

Quote of the Day:
"Destiny and Fate are two things that some bozo made up to give people something to fall back on when they want to cop out of something."
~Unknown

(this has been brought to you by the owner of the void foundation and "I'm going to scream" Corps. )

Day After

Ugh, want to talk about a bad day to have a strike of the curiosities!

I'm sitting here wondering what on earth I could have gotten for Christmas. Now you may ask, "What the hell are you doing, the day after Christmas, wondering what you're getting for Christmas?!" My answer, different person that I didn't see on Christmas day and thus we're celebrating the holiday today. Joy, oh joy (note the sarcasm). I've been teased, bugged, and even asked to guess what I'm getting and it's not helping my curiosity that was spiked right when I woke up this morning to the dog whining and jumping on and off the bed.

On the other hand, I haven't done any Christmas shopping myself and so I'll be doing basically the same thing later in the year of 2007! YAY! ahm...anyway (Northeast!) I also get to wonder if sister is going to be back in the hospital because her left side is acting all screwy again. She is dropping things and limping like crazy. Just found out a few months ago (I think, time isn't my friend and neither is memory) that she already had two strokes and I honestly don't want her having a third. I guess I can only be happy that she at least was home for Christmas Day and came back in time to go visit relatives on Christmas Eve.

Hmm...I wonder...(this can go anywhere so I'm leaving it at that, have fun!)

Quote of the day:
"Life is like a box of chocolate, you don't know what you're going to get; someone else does though."

(This has been your friendly announcement from the Owner of The Void. Have a good day)

Here's a silly little something:

Your Monster Profile

Basilisk Chemist

You Feast On: Olives

You Lurk Around In: Closets

You Especially Like to Torment: Hippies

What's Your Monster Name?

Christmas Cheer

Well, Christmas has come at last. The family has gotten together and presents have been wrapped and unwrapped. A great Christmas lunch/dinner has been made and eaten and we all reside to our normal lives for the time being with full stomachs and worries of how many calories we've taken in. While we have no snow, the air is still chilly and nips at ones skin every time you leave the warmth of the house and adventure outside. Even the animals are into the holiday spirit!

Even though it's been tight, with Mum having surgery and sister being put in the hospital (long story in which I may indulge in telling later) only a two days ago, we've managed to all get together for this festive holiday and get a few good laughs out of it all. Presents haven't been all that much of a bust either, I got many things that I wanted (even if I didn't realize it until I got them -.-; )

Quote of the Day:
"Christmas isn't about the presents or the life of the party; it's all about the family, laughter, and how much family love you can get in one room."

Happy Holidays everyone

(this message has been brought to you be The Owner of The Void)
